Transitividad e impersonalidad gramatical en la Antiguedad grecolatina: principales aportaciones linguísticas

Abstract

El propósito de este artículo es determinar las principales aportaciones de la reflexión lingüística en la Antigüedad a la doctrina de la transitividad e impersonalidad gramatical. Este estudio evidencia cómo muchas de aquellas primeras reflexiones sobre las nociones de impersonalidad y transitio, contenidas sobre todo en la lógica estoica y en la Sintaxis de Apolonio Díscolo y Prisciano, se mantienen aún como presupuestos básicos de ambas categorías en la lingüística más moderna y actual.

The aim of this paper is to determine the main contributions of the linguistic reflection in Antiquity to the doctrine of grammatical transitivity and impersonality. This study makes evident how many of those first reflections about the notions of impersonality and “transitio”, included especially in the stoic logic and the Syntax of Apollonius Dyscolus and Priscian, still survive as basic premises of both categories in the most modern and contemporary linguistics.
