dc.description.abstractO presente artigo visa perceber se a informação jornalística da imprensa generalista online sobre as sociedades anónimas desportivas dos três principais clubes portugueses – Benfica, Porto e Sporting – influencia o seu comportamento em bolsa. Para tal, aplicamos o conceito de valor-notícia de Galtung & Ruge (1969) na seleção das matérias noticiosas, para depois observar se após as respetivas publicações são visíveis reações no mercado financeiro daquelas sociedades e quais, segundo a metodologia introduzida por Fama et al (1969).por
dc.description.abstractThis article aims to understand if the press information of the online mainstream press about the Public Limited Sports Companies (PLSC) of the three main Portuguese clubs – Benfica, Porto and Sporting – influences its behavior in the stock exchange. For this purpose, we have applied the concept of news value of Galtung & Ruge (1969) to the selection of news materials, and then see if after they are published there are any visible reactions in the financial market concerning those companies, and which ones, according to the methodology introduced by Fama et al (1969).eng
