O Arquivo Almada e Lencastre Bastos: um arquivo de família(s)

Abstract

This paper presents the Almada and Lencastre Bastos archive, today held by de Portuguese National Library. This archive was first presented and partially inventoried in a paper published in 2012. After an exhaustive inventory work, it’s custodial history is hereby rewriten and at the end of this paper we present relevant documents showcasing the richness of the archive and its importance for the study of portuguese medieval and modern history.

O artigo apresenta o arquivo Almada e Lencastre Bastos, hoje à guarda da Biblioteca Nacional de Portugal, o qual foi objeto de uma primeira apresentação e inventariação em artigo publicado em 2012. Após um exaustivo trabalho de inventariação, reescreve-se a sua história custodial e apresentam-se alguns documentos que mostram a riqueza do acervo e a sua importância para o estudo da história medieval e moderna portuguesa.
