A necrópole de Tanchoal dos Patudos: (Alpiarça, Santarém)

Abstract

Publicam-se duas datas radiocarbónicas obtidas com os restos orgânicos contidos num dos vasos do cemitério de Tanchoal (Alpiarça, Ribatejo), identificado em inícios do século. Os resultados apontam para uma cronologia de finais da Idade do Bronze, entre meados do séc. XI a. C. e os inícios do IX a. C. Tecem-se ainda algumas considerações sobre os rituais incineratórios, contextos sepulcrais, espólios, etc.

We are publishing the radiocarbon dates obtained from the organic remains found in one of the vases from the cemetery of Tanchoal (Alpiarça, Ribatejo), which was identified at the beginning of last century. The results indicate a chronology of the Late Bronze Age, between mid XI century b. C. and the beginning of the IX century b.C. By the way, some considerations are being construed upon thecremation rituals, burial context, goods, etc.
