Imperialismo no mundo colonial fenício

Abstract

The Phoenician colonization in the Central and Western Mediterranean and in the Atlantic shores had a deep impact in the overseas territories, not only in terms of society and economy, but also in the cultural scene. The oriental heritage will overlapse, in many occasions, the previous indigenous substratum, through relations of dominance that can be interpreted under the concept of imperial culturalism.

A colonização fenícia no Mediterrâneo Central, Ocidental e nas costas atlânticas teve um impacto muito profundo não só em termos socioeconómicos, mas também culturais nos territórios ultramarinos. A herança oriental irá sobrepor-se, em múltiplas ocasiões, ao substrato autóctone precedente, através de relações de domínio que podem ser interpretadas no âmbito de um imperialismo cultural.
