Caracterización arqueométrica de la cerámica del Castillo de Albarracín (Teruel, España) en la transición entre los siglos XII y XIII

Abstract

The present study focuses on the ceramic set from the Castle of Albarracín between the end of the 12th century and the beginning of the 13th century, one of the worst known periods in southern Aragon, but better represented in this archaeological site. The chemical composition of several ceramic groups was obtained by means of Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP) inductive coupling plasma emission spectroscopy. The incorporation of archaeometric analysis to the morphological study allows to propose several probable producing centers in this period, especially highlighting the containers coming from the Almohad Levant.

El presente estudio se centra en el repertorio cerámico procedente del Castillo de Albarracín entre finales del siglo XII e inicios del XIII, uno de períodos peor reconocidos en el Aragón meridional, pero mejor representados en este yacimiento arqueológico. Se ha obtenido la composición química de varios grupos cerámicos, mediante espectroscopia óptica de emisión con plasma de acoplamiento inductivo-ICP (Inductively Coupled Plasma). La incorporación de análisis arqueométricos al estudio morfológico permite proponer varios probables centros productores en este período, destacando especialmente los recipientes procedentes del Levante almohade.
