Memorias culturais na literatura infanto-juvenil portuguesa contemporânea: o caso da série "Triângulo Jota", de Álvaro Magalhães

Abstract

No contexto da crescente tendência de valorização da literatura infanto- -juvenil, o presente artigo debruça-se sobre a série "O Triángulo Jota", de Álvaro Magalhães, procurando identificar e analisar, nos seus diversos volumes, uma vasta rede de relações transtextuais de diversa natureza (arquitextos e intertextos, a nivel de géneros literários, títulos, personagens, motivos e referencias) que recuperam memorias culturais das mais variadas origens (desde clássicos da literatura mundial à música rock contemporânea, passando por títulos do cinema e outros produtos artísticos). Descrevem-se alguns dos modelos narrativos activados na série, especialmente o "policial" e o seu antecessor, o romance gótico, e exploram-se em mais detalhe algumas relações intertextuais que convocam obras/textos específicos da tradição literária ocidental.

Following the growth of interest in children's literature, this article explores the series "O Triángulo Jota", by the Portuguese author Álvaro Magalhães, seeking to identify and analyse in the different volumes a vast network of transtextual relationships at various levels of reference (architexts and intertexts, in terms of genres, titles, characters, motifs, and references) mobilizing cultural memories of the most diverse origins - from literary classics to contemporary rock music, cinema and other artistic products. Some of the narrative models used in the series are identified, notably the detective novel and its predecessor the gothic novel, with more detailed attention being paid to intertextual relationships based on specific texts belonging to Western literary tradition.
