Abstract

A Arte, a História da Arte e a historiografia artística movimentam-se na complexidade de um circuito que integra a obra, a estrutura orgânica que a observa ou a palavra que organiza a inteligibilidade do "objecto" num tempo e num espaço. Discute-se, assim, uma relação dinâmica entre as forças em tensão e equilíbrio, ao mesmo tempo que se perspectiva uma ciência contaminada pela emoção ou pela fabricação do mito. Por outro lado, os códigos da acessibilidade ao artístico foram assumindo diferentes expressões que se enraizaram no discurso político, social e cultural como estruturas de pensamento dominante extensível a outras áreas. No universo lato que incorpora o artístico, os "estilos" ou a matéria patrimonial são evidências exemplares da inoperância ou fragilidade com que se debatem hoje o pensamento crítico e a historiografia.

Art, History of Art and artistic historiography move through the complexity of a circuit which encompasses the work of art, the organic structure which observes it or the word which organizes the intelligibility of the "object" in a space and in a time. What is under discussion is the dynamic relation between balance and tensional forces, and, simultaneously, the perspective of a science contaminated by emotion or by the fabrication of myths. On the other side, the codes of accessibility to the artistic have been assuming different expressions, rooted on political, social and cultural speeches as dominant thinking structures which are extendable to other areas. In the broad universe that incorporates the artistic, "styles" or patrimonial issues are exemplar evidences of the inoperability or fragility on which critical thinking and historiography are discussed.
