Serviços, comunicação postal e interdependência territorial

Abstract

Neste texto analisam-se alguns aspectos que se relacionam intimamente com a organização e desenvolvimento dos serviços postais: i) a importância das comunicações numa sociedade onde os serviços assumem um lugar cada vez mais importante destacando-se, de entre estes, os que produzem informação e os que a transmitem; ii) a organização do espaço postal, a sua relação com a administração do território; os serviços postais assegurados pelos correios e os locais onde são prestados; iii) o tráfego postal gerado nas várias parcelas do território e o sentido destes fluxos, elementos fundamentais para compreender e caracterizar as diferentes dinâmicas e interdependências territoriais.

On analyse, dans ce texte, quelques aspects intimement lies à l' organisation et au développement des services postaux: i) l'importance des communications dans une société ou les services prennent une place de plus en plus importante. Nous distinguerons celles qui produisent l'information de celles qui la tranmettent; ii) l'organisation de l'espace postal, sa relation avec l'administration du territoire; les services assurés par la Poste et les locaux afférents; iii) le trafic postal général sur différentes parcelles du territoire et le sens de ces flux, éléments fondamentaux pour la compréhension et la caractérisation des différentes dynamiques et interdépendances territoriales.

In this paper we analyse some aspects that are intimately bound up with the organization and development of postal services: i) the importance of communications in a society in which services are assuming an increasingly important role, highlighting among them those that produce information and those that transmit it; ii) the organization of postal space, its relations with territorial administration; postal services safeguarded by the Post Office and the places where they are offered; iii) postal traffic generated in the various territorial zones and the direction of such flows, fundamental elements in understanding and characterizing the different dynamics and territorial interdependences.
