Arte da performance, poesia e pós-utopias nos anos 80 em Portugal

Abstract

Based on the poetic-performative intervention of some experimental poets, this article focuses on the return of the body to the city and its relation with the post-utopian cultural scene of the 80s in Portugal. We reexamine specific categories used to describe performance art that we applied to Portuguese experimental poetry. We outline the historical and artistic context in which these poets carry out their poetic acts in public spaces while faced with a dysphoric ideological and aesthetic model during the revolution aftermath and mourning. Finally, we analyse the interventions ‘Ponto-Ação’ (1986) by Fernando Aguiar, and ‘Metástase I’ (1987) by Alberto Pimenta, which is an example of the work we have been carrying out.

Partindo-se da intervenção poético-performativa de um conjunto de poetas experimentais aborda-se, neste artigo, o regresso do corpo à cidade na relação com o cenário pós-utópico dos anos 80 em Portugal. Revisita-se categorias específicas da arte da performance aplicadas à poesia experimental portuguesa. Propõe-se uma esquematização da situação histórica e artística destes poetas que operam no espaço público por intermédio de atos poéticos, na defrontação de um modelo ideológico e estético disfórico, de ressaca revolucionária e luto. Por último, ilustra-se a tese desenvolvida analisando-se as intervenções “Ponto-Ação” (1986), de Fernando Aguiar, e “Metástase I” (1987), de Alberto Pimenta.
