Title: L’attitude des adultes vis-à- vis des enfants pendant les guerres, chez Plutarque
Authors: Facq, Frédérique
Issue Date: 2004
Publisher: International Plutarch Society
Abstract: The accounts given by Plutarch show in an original way that, in wartime, Cities and parents try to protect their children and to maintain a ‘normal’ life. Yet, when facing certain attacks, parents out of despair, would rather kill their children and then commit suicide. As for their enemies, they usually show no mercy: children suffer the same fate as their parents or are even killed because of their parents’ acts.
