desenvolvidas nos anos
1910-20 pela republicana,
feminista e escritora, Ana
de Castro Osório, visando
a construção de um projeto
político-educacional que
articulasse Portugal e Brasil.
Essa intelectual, estudada em
Portugal, é pouco conhecida
no Brasil, embora tenha vários
livros publicados e adotados
This paper focuses on the actions implemented in 1910-20 by the Republican, feminist writer Ana de Castro Osório, who envisaged developing a political-educational project that would link Portugal and Brazil. Although this intellectual is studied in Portugal, she is hardly known in Brazil, notwithstanding the fact that she is the author of several published books that have been adopted by the public schools in two important states: São Paulo and Minas Gerais. Our hypothesis is that she had a project to ‘found’ a Portuguese-Brazilian literature that was possibly a profit-making undertaking. Although she owned several publishers in Portugal and was the author of dozens of books, which are very popular among the female and juvenile audience, all of her efforts sunk along with the First Portuguese Republic in the mid 1920s. |
