Ensaios democráticos no Brasil contemporâneo: notas historiográficas

Abstract

Duas são as principais experiências liberal-democráticas republicanas na História contemporânea brasileira: o interregno entre a derrubada da ditadura de Getúlio Vargas (1945) e o advento do golpe civil-militar (1964) e os anos que se seguem ao fim da ditadura militar em 1985. Neste texto, propõe-se acompanhar algumas tendências da historiografia política brasileira sobre esses dois momentos-chave da nossa história recente.

Two are the main republican liberal-democratic experiments in contemporary Brazilian history: the interregnum between the overthrow of the dictatorship of Getúlio Vargas (1945) and the advent of civil-military coup (1964) and the years following the end of military dictatorship in 1985. This paper proposes to follow some trends of historiography Brazilian policy on these two key moments in our recent history.
